The Left and Right videos are composed of a photo a day series that takes place over the course of 1.5 months.
The Center video is a collaboration with Wabigonikwe, Anissa, and Katie Rose. The clips are composed of a series of photos that take place over the course of anywhere between a few hours to 3 months, exploring dance time-lapse with houseplants in quotidian spaces.
Names and bios of collaborators in order of appearance:
Wabigonikwe Raven is an enrolled member in the Lac Courte Oreilles band and is crane clan. She studies at the UMD, and protecting the land comes first.
Anissa Abdel-Jelil is a visual artist based in Minneapolis whose work focuses on different conceptualizations of roots (heritage + botanical art), archives, and memory. She is passionate about equity in the archives and open access to information.
Katie Rose Marie - also known as katya, last name clay: of the earth - is a tender humanbean raising young beans to plant resilient seeds spawning into our wildest dreams (* liberation for people, plants, creaturas, water, ways of relating, air, land, healing, being!) katya is a black mixed race transracial adoptee, transforming culture and weaving stronger webs of support for people to feel at home on this earth, safe in their bodies and interested in the mycelium wellbeing.
